Murree on Alert: New Travel Advisory Released Before Major Snowfall
A 1122 Rescue Service Spokeperson said that all the rescue stations and crucial points in Murree and Kitlo Sattian will remain on “full alert under our Emergency Core Plan”.
Furthermore, the Spokeperson stated that camp-points established and staff works 24 hours for ensuring public safety and convenience
As stated by the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s forecast, heavy rainfall, hail, and snowfall are expected in Murre and near by areas, leading to the provision of emergency rescue vehicles, ambulances, and life-saving equipment.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted rain, thunderstorms, high winds, and snowfall across Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, and several other northern regions.
Given the seriousness of the forecast, the spokesperson warned that the chances of accidents rise significantly during snowfall, intense cold, and slippery road conditions. People are advised to postpone unnecessary travel, ensure their vehicles are equipped with snow chains, and keep fuel tanks filled for safety. In case of any emergency, citizens should immediately contact the Rescue 1122 helpline.
